Blair becomes more suspicious about Gabriel’s interest in Serena when she finds him in the company of his ex-fiancée, Poppy. Gabriel’s explanation that he is wooing Poppy to get financing to open his own wireless company is met with support from Serena.
However Blair is still skeptic and looks to prove that Gabriel is up to no good. Meanwhile, Dan spends the evening drinking with Vanessa to talk about what may lay ahead of them. Rufus has problems selling the art gallery, while Jenny thinks that he may plan to propose to Lily.
Meanwhile, Nate shows Chuck his new apartment he plans to lease so he and Blair can commute easier from his college at Columbia and hers at NYU. But Blair has no time to celebrate when she takes off with Chuck on a mission upstate to locate an old enemy to collaborate Gabriel’s investment story, and expose his nefarious plans when he also approaches Rufus to ask for investment money too.
